The Mission Critical Technologies Series launched on the 13th June 2018 with the opening of Mission Critical Technologies, bringing over 1000 attendees from over 50 countries, as well as pioneering brands such as Microsoft, DJI, Audax, Axon, ALX Systems, UK Home Office, Nokia, and many more.
Award winning global camera specialists Audax® who are based in Plymouth, and pioneers of Body Worn Video (BWV) technology- is celebrating after winning major contracts to supply the Military and Police in Vietnam with thousands of Audax® cameras.
Adam Liardet, Managing Director of Audax®, said: “Following a successful 2 year procurement selection process, the Military and Police in Vietnam are rolling out thousands of our cameras.”

“We have shipped 2000 Cameras so far with another 2,500 to undertake before Christmas.”

“With a large front record button this makes the devices simpler to use, and unlike other cameras used by some UK Police forces, the video review screen is on the rear of the camera so it is not as easily damaged. It has a longer life battery, can be used in the dark as it has built in IR lamps, has in built GPS for location pinpointing and is both significantly lighter and more robust so it can cope with the climate,” he said.
Mr Liardet, said: “Our products are designed to be secure so evidence can’t be manipulated or tampered with, and they protect members of the public just as much as they protect officers from false allegations.”
“I was out in Vietnam in the Summer and am due to return again shortly, but have found Vietnam to be completely different from what I expected,” he said.
“Vietnam is one of the fastest growing economies in the region and showed a GDP growth of 7.1% in 2018.”
“While Vietnam is a one-party state ruled by the Communist Party of Vietnam; they have a strong commitment to create a favourable business environment and are publicly committed to addressing corruption.”
“With 50% of its population being less than 35 years old and with positive economic conditions comes a new found confidence.”
“As an example, Vietnam is one of the most progressive countries in South East Asia for LGBT rights,” said Mr Liardet.

Verbal or even physical aggression against rescue personnel has, unfortunately, become commonplace and ‘normal’ behaviour in Belgium. More and more paramedics, firefighters, first-aid workers and police officers have to deal with this behaviour on a daily and even hourly basis by members of the public that they are trying to assist. It has got so bad that often drink or drug intoxication is not the ‘catalyst’ as many people expect it to be. Trying to use this as a poor excuse to ‘shrug off’ this behavior is not an excuse to try and make it acceptable. No Attack on any Personnel in their place of work is acceptable, Ever!
It seems to those whose job it is to protect and aid us, that those in authority don’t ‘care’ and are doing little to stamp out this aggression or behavior. SPOED 112 have thus taken up the ‘baton’ to start a campaign to get this ‘Plague’ more attention and increase awareness before it becomes too late to ‘stamp it out’ once and for all.
So together with key supporters and sponsors such as Audax® (The Global Leaders in Body Worn Video Technology), SPOED 112 will be will be instrumental in organizing a poster campaign as the start. Initially it will feature 3 different images: 1 paramedic, 1 fire fighter and 1 ER Nurse who will become the ‘face’ of this campaign and hopefully raise the awareness and profile of this problem in order to change attitudes towards our emergency service workers who risk their lives every hour of every day to help us.
The campaign will be executed by the Brussels based marketing agency Sketch and the Poster campaign will be distributed in hospitals, public buildings shops, bars, on Public Transport and other highly visible locations in order to reach as many people as possible over the coming months. Together with our sponsors and partners we hope our endeavor will help towards making it a safer environment for our emergency service workers. Nobody should be at risk of violence in their workplace, EVER.
Violence against emergency service workers is NEVER ok.
At Audax we believe, that despite being a technology company we have a duty to protect our environment.
As such we work with a UK based company to regularly plant trees, so as to offset our carbon footprint, due to our travel and exhibitions across the UK and Europe.
Just recently we have added a further 2 trees in Ireland following an exhibition in Belgium and another after our Exhibition in Birmingham, and our tree planting shall continue. It’s a small step, to improving our planet for all.

The Awards Ceremony, hosted by Sir Michael Fallon, MP, was conducted with an esteemed audience representing companies from across the Globe. Present with Adam Liardet, MD Audax, were Sir Julian King, EU Commissioner for Security, and Miss Cathy Pouret, EU Project Officer, Horizon 2020.
This award is a real honour, and testament to Audax being a winning combination of pedigree, and cutting edge innovations.
Audax has recently begun a Body Worn Camera trial with the Malta Police Department.
Audax is a company at the forefront of mobile, digital evidence gathering technology. We are one of the worldwide leaders in developing Body Worn Video technology (BWV) and first started demonstrations of BWV Systems in July 2005 at the G8 Summit in Gleneagles.
